Akwa Ibom LG Poll. PDP Sweeps All 31 Local Government in Akwa Ibom. The recent Local Government Election in Akwa Ibom State that was conducted yesterday 2nd December, 2017, went smoothly as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has cleared all 31 local government areas in the state living APC and other parties with nothing.

A letter released by Akwa Ibom State Independent Electoral Commission, AKISIEC, affirming the results earlier declared by the authorized Returning Officers in various locations.

PDP Chairmanship candidates in the 31 local government areas and Councillorship candidates 329 wards all won the election.

AKISIEC, has directed all winners to report and receive their Certificates of Return on Monday, December, 4th.

The result of the election is clear indication that governor Udom Emmanuel will have no strong interference in his bid for second term. Congratulations to the governor and the good people of Akwa Ibom State.
