Son of Late Gaddafi released from prison
Son of Late Gaddafi released from prison after he was captured in 2011 trying to flee the country to Niger shortly after opposition fighters took over Tripoli.
In a statement by one of the fighters controlling the prison in Zintan, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Battalion, confirmed that Saif al-Islam was released late last night Saturday 10th June, 2017.
The 44-year-old Saif al-Islam, who is the most prominent out of the eight children, late lybian leader Gaddafi left behind, was sentenced to death in 2015, July by a court Tripoli during the mass trials of his father’s former government officials.
